Michael: What a beautiful build! I believe that because your decals are so well done, that I have a tendency to not appreciate your modeling skills. After following your website for several years now, it appears that you just keep getting better and better.Wonderful detail, very clean, glue free surfaces, and DYNAMITE paint jobs combine for your outstanding art. Live long and prosper Michael; you bring SO MUCH to our hobby! Tim

I know upgrading a three year old thread is nuts, but I am frustrated. Built the Tamiya Martini 79 without a lot of drama, but this summer I have off and on been working on the "Black Beauty" 79---and it is driving me nuts!!! The body panels and under body dry fitted well together but when I went to complete the build it is so off. Trying not to mar a nice paint/decal job by gluing things together. Does the Hasegawa fit better than the Tamiya? I feel like a first time builder with this kit and I have been making kits since the early 1980's. Would like to just throw this thing at the wall right now!
