I came across a FW-07 with my name on it!.....Finally! Box was sealed, which means its nice and clean. I don't really like to get open boxes. I'm pretty excited with doing this build, I'm going to take my time and try to do the best possible job I know how to do. Expect me to ask lots of questions and not only that hopefully I can show some of my tricks to help someone else. Ahhh just opened....Nice and sealed, Clean, Crisp, and nothing touched since 1980 ;D Pulling things out and cleaned up....Glue the engine together First I used some Black Tamiya paint to fill in the body lines, then let dry, and scratch pad off the excess, then I will clean the body with soap and Water...let dry. then I will spray Tamiya White Primer over the parts....theoretically this should calm down the black lines and make it look realistic by using the transparency of Tamiya Paint. This is a first time experiment, its an attempt to avoid problems later on....instead of trying to darken up the body lines when the car is painted. Fill in those holes! More later...

Aren't sealed kits the best? I love breaking open that wrapping and smelling that "new kit" smell! How do you find the time to build so fast?

I love your approach on the panel lines, I can't wait to see how they turn out. Sounds like one of those why didn't I think of that ideas.

I got the green on tonight.....and just mins ago just finished with the decals, besides wing decals..which is still in primer. My black line trick didn't really come through totally but........... ........I just took the back side of the razor blade and scrape off the seam to reveal the black The paint Job came out great....the decals are top notch. It looks even darker in the pic but I think my green for the seat and steering wheel are too dark? I used J. A. Green XF-13

Looks good to me!
Yougot me to take out a Tamiya F-1 kit and being to finish it up. The kit (McLaren) has been sitting for a while and seeing your builds lately got me going. As soon as this bug starts to clear out of me, I will take some pictures of it for everyone's amusement! ;D

Not much done today but I painted the Aluminum. After testing all kinds of paint I felt the Testors Chrome was the best. Some aluminum pants just have too much flake for a small model...if you know what I mean? The chrome is not completely chrome it looks like shinny aluminum IMO. Over all I like how it looks

Just to be clear, that's "Chrome" not Metallic Silver? It looks great, whichever it is!

Very nie and glad to see some deals and paint on it. The panel line idea seems to have worked OK on the side panel. Look orward to more updates.
