Hi All,
I recently acquired a set of Kuzma Roadster ('56) drawings due to the great help from Russ. It shows details of 4 cars (a,b,c,d) But I do not have a CLUE as to which these four cars were! (told y'all I was pretty dense when it comes to Indy cars!)
Will someone, anyone (!), shed some light on this for me, please? After all, the Kuzma roadsters look a WHOLE LOT like Kurtis 500s.[/u][/i]
TIA! Bill <><

Bill, Sorry I didn't see your request before. According to my records and my fast failing memory, the four Kuzma roadsters built for the '56 500 werre for:
JC Agajanian #98 Johnnie Parsons up ran 4th Racing Associates #1 Bob Sweikert up ran 6th Pete Schmidt #88 Johnny Thomson up ran 32nd Al Dean #2 Jimmy Bryan up ran 19th
The last car is questionable only in that Dean/Bryan had a Kuzma roadster in '55, but the car run in '56 looks just like the other'56 built cars, so I suspect if it wasn't a total new machine, it was dramatically rebuilt to '56 specs.
Of the four, I believe that deals can be had for the Bryan and Sweikert cars.

OK Bill, congrats on the retirement. When asked if I enjoy it, I always reply, "What's not to like?" BTW, where did the "Mongo" tag come from? I musy have missed something. Wayne

OK Bill, congrats on the retirement. When asked if I enjoy it, I always reply, "What's not to like?" BTW, where did the "Mongo" tag come from? I musy have missed something. Wayne Hi Wayne, *MONGO*: Short story; Andy Kilpatrick (James Hyltons' ARCA Crew Cheif) nicknamed me that while we were rebuilding the nose on James Charger at Rockingham the first of May. I grabbed a 1" piece of roll bar on the front snout with my right hand and pulled it in line, and he yelled *D@mn, ME MONGO!" James started calling me *big'un* and the rest of the crew called me Mongo from then on. It's from Blazing Saddles and the Alex Karras character. Since a little while before I retired I have been working with James. Mongo ;D
