Has anybody on this forum built this kit? I have come across some complaints that the 429, which I am building, does not fit in the engine bay. I have mocked up the whole drive train and from what I can see the engine fits. The two issues I've come across are that the drive shaft is too short and there are no engine mounts on the frame. Can anybody tell me if there are some other issues with this kit that I should be aware of? I don't want to be caught by surprise after I have done all the painting and some of the assembly.

I’ve built a handful of these and there are many fit issues that you’ll have to overcome to create a quality model. As far as the Boss 9 engine, I typically just build and install the 427 instead, as no one will ever see it. But if you want to do the 429, you can trim down the shock hoops in the front roll cage. Matt McNally came up with a step-by-step tutorial on how to make these kits turn into some real beauties. Please let me know if you have any questions! www.mnacreations.com/Models/
