I originally only planned on the F5000 car, things kind of snowballed. All built more or less at the same time.
From the MPC kits with a few scratch built upgrades.

Nice soar of Eagles! Those F5000 conversion kits are great, aren't they?

Nice soar of Eagles! Those F5000 conversion kits are great, aren't they? This one was. I'm not a fan of white metal parts but these ones fit quite well. It would be easier if I had a metal polisher, which isn't going to happen.

The attention to detail is amazing, even the 42 and 48 are so very different. Great to see all the ways to build up this one kit.

These look really great. The 1968 Eagle was one of the best. Your three versions of the Indy cars cover all of the engine choices. I am glad to see the #42 built, not sure I have seen that one before. The '68 tub was good on all kinds of race tracks and because of Dan's use of different engines the tub would accept the variety. John Cannon ran one for several years as a "field filler" and was quite fast with a stock block Chevy. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful builds. Jim

Thanks guys. There was another variant, the Penske car that Donohue drove with a stock block Chevy, sort of a crossover Indy/F5000. Maybe I'll do it someday.
I thought the 68 Eagle was such a pretty car, if only Dan had stuck a Cosworth in the back of it............
