You needed to insert "https://i.imgur.com/pg3ghU0.jpeg" using the "Image" button at the top of the forum window.

The image icon is the third one in the last section of white boxes along the top that looks like a picture in a frame, right? I have been clicking on that one. When I am in Imgur I just click on copy link and then I paste that link in the forum after I hit the little icon that says to insert image. I seem to be missing something somewhere.

I don't use Imgur, but I'll try and show you how I posted the photo.

Yes, the "insert image" button is the 3rd to the right:

I noticed that the "i" is missing from your links. It is also missing from the Imgur URL:

Right click on the photo and click "open image in new tab":



Now the "i" is there:

Right click and copy the url for the photo. Paste it in the box that opens when you click the image button:



Click "insert image" and the text should look like this:

Hope this helps. I imagine Imgur has a link you can copy on its page rather then this drawn out way but, like I said, I don't use Imgur.

Try this

[img/]your copied link[/img]

No spaces in front or back of copied link. Images in Imgur are already assigned as a jpeg. Just right click the image and choose the copy the link then paste it between the brackets I showed above. The reason I say to make sure there are no spaces is because when I paste the link after creating the first bracket it makes a space so I always have to back it up one space to correct it. Hope this helps.

To do img tags the link has to have an image file ending like this code below that has the .jpeg at the end.

The address to the photo link after the http forward slashes should start like this i.imgur.c and not imgur.c that insures it’s the image and not linked to the page.
I hope this makes sense. Be sure you have uploaded the photos. I have not yet been able to post with the button I have always had to type it out. Maybe I’m just to old to teach me a new trick lol.

I took your link from above and added the i. In front of imgur and added .jpeg to the end and put it between the img brackets I posted. What a beauty it revealed.

Like Kevin said (and the pic I posted shows) right click on the photo and chose "copy link". Paste it in the "insert image" button.
It needs to have the "i" at the beginning and ".jpeg" at the end. Like this:

  Its a mystery. I upload aokay to imgur. Copying the link is a piece of cake, ( one left click and thats done ) then its over to this forum and left click on the insert image icon, right click on the https// line and it should work but it don't. I have tried typing in the extra i as suggested and them the jpeg at the end but still no go.  Weird. I will have to just keep playing with it I guess. Thanks for all the help in the meantime.

If I try using the image button with Imgur I can’t get it to work either. I have done exactly as you have done many times and no go. I finally gave up and started manually typing my first bracket [img/] then I paste the link and then type the ending bracket [/img] (usually I have to back up the link one space because it creates a space between the first bracket and the http). When I had photobucket it was a breeze Imgur not so much. Don’t give up as I see you have some nice things to show.

The code example above Jordan’s picture post is missing the forward slash after the g in the first bracket. If he corrected it it would just bring up the picture. There is no way to type out a complete example without it becoming an active link and bringing up a picture. The brackets are Dos commands. The first i tells it to look for an image. The Imgur.com tells it where the image is and the 8g2dgip.jpeg tells it which image. Hope this helps. Feel free to correct me on this.
