Marty Robbins first modifIed race car. It is a 34 ford 5 window with the "B" pillar removed. He ran it in 1963 season. Built by preacher Hamilton in 1962. Was the car on the cover of the 62 Album "DEVIL WOMAN". Just finished all the fab work and it's ALL in primer now. Don't have pics as of yet...but I'll take some after the primer dries and I get all the color paint done. Here's a pic of the album and the car.

Working on:
A Chaparral 2E (IMC 1/25th, wish me luck)
A Chinook F5000 (scratched, 1/12th)
A tube frame for a Kurtis roadster (1/24th, to fit the Monogram body)
Trying to figure out how:
Corvette T/A car (Weitzes) Firebird T/A car (Weitzes) Mustang T/A car (Simo)
(My excuse is creative minds are rarely tidy - my wife disagrees).

Gary, I can’t wait to see the modified. That’s too cool.
Paul, that’s a nice list.
I’m at work so no photos at the moment but I’m working on, in no particular order or % of completion, another AMT Lola (why not after all) Pete Brock’s Datsun 240, Fujimi Enthusiast Porsche 911 turbo (‘85) and got a brief start while waiting on things to dry and setup on cleaning up Lances Bowes Seal Fast Kurtis. Had it in primer but I missed some spots so it’s mostly been wet sanded back down again now.
My excuse is I don’t have one. Lol. I have a system to stay organized while building and I like to have multiple projects going on at once. Sometimes one project really grabs me and I don’t want to stop working on it but also sometimes I have to let things dry and want to keep working!

First and foremost on my plate is still my 1987 Lola and I’m getting ready to start my all carbon fiber Jordan 911, but our July IPMS Boise club meeting had a Vietnam theme, so I built a piece of equipment that I worked on at Danang as a young Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) repairman. A MJ-1 bomb lift. In this case it’s an old ESCI 1/48 scale kit and I’ve added an Eduard SUU-23 gun pod which was a signature piece of ordinance on our F-4C/D aircraft. I wasn’t happy with my yellow paint job so the model is in the stripping alcohol right now. Paul Erlendson

Ok, gonna be a bit of an odd list...
1/350 Trumpeter USS Langley CV-1.
Revell 1999 Max Papis Miller Lite Raynard with Speedline Miller-Lite Harley Davidson decals.
3D printed 1/8 Ripley figure from the movie "Alien".
Takom 1/72 Bismarck "Bruno" turret.
The 1/8 Entex Lotus 72D.
Ertl 1/48 F-4 in VX-4 bicentennial colors. (Just finished the VX-4 Black Bunny)
And that's just the ones I consider "current", I got a crap ton of started kits on the Shelf of Doom.

HMS Warspite. It has taken 2 years just to get the hull done. I'll take some pics.

Currently…. Pinto 1/24 Hercedes Benz W125…if Craig was still with us, I would have called him and we would have (again!), called Pinto kits “the champs of flash.” Then Craig would have reminded me that… 1) you can b*tch 2) you can be grateful he made the kit (and so many others!) because he’s the only one doing them 3) life’s about adapting…Dang I miss him! Etzel/Jorgensen 1927 2nd place Miller… Bradford FWD Miller…(TOP OF THE PILE)… Salvino’s Grey Ghost Oldsmobile (Buddy Baker) 1/24 Monogram chassis with 1/25 Salvino’s body And figures… I really need to clean my desk too… Tim

I am spread across a lot at the moment. Glad to see that I am not alone on that. Blue Crown Special body of BillJ’s Duke Nalon Novi of Jorgenson’s 56 Russo Novi of Lance’s Belong Epperly of Rick’s Vintage Indy Resin Hoover Motor Express roadster of Ricks 59 Leader Card Watson of Chris Etzel 56 John Zink Special of Bill J’s On the John Zink I filled in the oval fuel port and moved it forward and made it round. I created the same as the Etzel kit on the front axle by making a nose bulkhead out of styrene and fit the nose to that. Then pinned a small pine block for the axle. Sorry for the short wip. I am loving the diversity of models everyone is working on. Too cool.

Lol 😂 these threads always work at bringing everyone out of the closet.
When things get to quiet on the forum, just make a "what are you working on?" Thread 👍🥹

Way too many to list all of them, but a few that are nearing completion: Monogram Edmunds Supermodified; Mono Sand Shark (don't ask why, got to be one of the ugliest "show rods" ever!); Salvino's asphalt modified; a couple AMT Modified Stockers ('65 GTO and '69 Falcon); Tamiya 1/12 Tyrrell 003 shovel-nose (still!); and 3 AMT '69 Torinos/Talladegas as curbsides. No pictures of my bench at this time, as very few of you are strong enough to endure seeing it!

I have mentioned it before but you are all equally responsible for what I am getting stuck into. Between what is produced and sold thru here to what is built to what is generated at Indycals. OK. They are slot cars but it becomes all too obvious what this forum has sparked in me. These not long finished. What do I know about Roadsters. next to nothing. But that 1957 Sumar Special. Did this for one particular race meeting. This next one is already for another next year's meeting. Just finished yesterday. The 1972 Penske Indy 500 winner already on the cutting matt. And then something I finished a week or so ago. 1961 Roger Penske Cooper and Lloyd Ruby Lotus 18. Still not sure I have the colours right on the Ruby helmet and car. But these will get a run out next week at a race event on the English south Coast. The Cooper T54 from 1962 is also on the cutting matt..... Also got out the Penske 1962 Zerex special to do. I just keep blaming you lot.....

HMS Warspite. Some of my ancestors served on her, at different times. It's the Academy 1/350th kit. Every now and then I spend an hour or two on it.

Just finishing up a 1/350 USS Oregon, 1898. After that I'm going to start a Silver City 1981C March that my brother Lou bought and wants me to build for him as the Blue Poly car driven by Tom Sneva in the 1981 Indy 500.
