That looks really good Terry. Now that's a printed example or a 3D drawing?

Except it's NOT die cast but that god awful resin. I don't mind an F1 or Indycar model that's sealed, but I'm NO fan of models that don't have ROLLING WHEELS. Regardless of the reasons

Regardless of the reasons Unfortunately for you, I don't think people care what it's made out of, as long as it looks good and I highly doubt people are rolling their cars around. My guess is diecast is more expensive than resin.

I don’t think I own a single model, diecast, kit or otherwise that rolls. Maybe the couple I have that are sealed do. But nothing free standing. If they did roll I’d quickly put an end to that.
More importantly Terry, I think your March looks great. Really looks the part. Well done.

Regardless of the reasons Roll'in wheels are for children that want to play 'RACE CAR" on the carpet. I don't think any builder (or collector for that matter) wants their work or collection to roll around. ALL that is doing is asking for DISASTER.

Rollers are personal choices of the builder, to each their own what they want from builds and buys. It is a shared hobby but what we like can be unique.

Calvin, myself, Lance, Grand Prcecision, Terry, etc... we all wanted more than than what was available so we started our own companies. Bitching will never get the results you want, but taking matters into your own hands will.

I'm actually extremely surprised how many 1/18th scale replicas have been produced. Especially Indycars!!! (The form of racing very few know about in the grand scheme of things) But it's typically human nature to WANT MORE!The glass is always half empty.
I think anyone that iches and complains has no idea whats involved in developing a kit and have absolutely no appreciation for the hard work put into it. Also, in business, the majority always wins. If majority of people emailed me wanting the wheels to turn, I would make them turn for them.

Personally, I think all the model companies on this forum... Lance, Michael, Kevin, Calvin... all make great product. Terry, even if 1/43 is not my "cup 'o tea", makes excellent models. I just wish I had more money...
As far as rolling wheels... even if the kit did have rolling wheels, it wouldn't when I was done with it.

If a model has resin tires I tend to sand a flat spot on the bottom, it gives a more authentic contact patch. I do like steerable wheels, I can "pose" the car differently if I want to. Let's face it, once the car is built, all I want me or especially anyone else to do is look at it, DO NOT TOUCH, lol.

Heck, nobody even looks at mine once they’re built. Lol. But I also like the slightly flatter contact patch like it has some weight to it.

Same here. I hate rubber or vinyl tires. Resin tires look SO much more realistic. And like you I add the contact patch to the bottoms.

This cannot be said enough - between my stuff, working with Calvin/Lance/Kevin, as well as Replicarz I see a LOT. And it amazes me that anything gets produced.

Another pet peeve I have is I release a new kit and put all my time and energy and emotions into it and first response is, "when are you going to come out with (such-n-such-car) ?? I just want to cry. 😝 Or they say, "but so-n-so resin builder already did that kit" yeah 100 years ago and are $1,000k on ebay every 5 years

Oh Man.
Calvin is so right. And I cannot claim to have done anything near as many as he has, or Lance or kevin or Terry. All I have done is mastered three slot car bodies and had them cast by a man who can. And I do not hear the end of when will I do such and such a car. Blah blah blah.
Think I had one chap actually said thank you to me for doing one of them.
It is enough to put me off ever doing another one. But I kinda get it.
If I think back then maybe I myself have been guilty of it before taking the 'do it yourself' approach. That was after finally fully appreciating the passion quotiant that goes into creating a model or kit.
And that is the trick init? The passion for a particular subject. I think that goes a long way to seeing so many of these lovelies come to fruition. And so many who do not have the ability or know how or time to get making what they have a passion for will always ask those who can about their own particular hearts desire. That's where I kinda get it.

Michael keeps me supplied with 95% of my decals. Excellent work and quick delivery to me. Most of what I build are either old builds resurrected, or old kits still in the box. Either way, without Indycals (or a few others, but mostly Michael's stuff), how do I go about building them? I can print some basic decals myself but nothing like what you guys can do.
Thanks, all of you.
