Seeing what the prices for the MPC STP Granatelli Turbine are going for on eBay, does that increase the chances of a reissue?

If you're talking about the 67, I can hope so, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Never been reissued in 40 years, not sure why they would now... but one can always hope.

Okay, I know a little about this one. Back when Motor Racing Replica News was still around, just before the re-issue of the Olsonite Eagle and the Lotus 56 Turbine, there was some thought that they would re-issue the 1/20 Paxton Turbine, and went looking for the molds...only to discover that on of the molds is missing....HOW!?!?!! I don't know, but that was where it was left some 12 years ago.
That's one I'd like to see re-issued, it is a good kit by today's standards....
Oh well and best to you

I wish...
I've got Bill J's resin kit but I'd love to have one with engine detail. What's the word from Lance? I heard he was thinking about a 67 kit?

Concerning the plastic kit reissue angle...I've been following a slot blog about the old AMT CanAm type car models(Lola T70, Chaparral, Hussein, and McLaren) and I learned that if the molds are not kept greased and stored properly then too much work (ie...$$$$$) has to go into them to make them usable. Therefore the reissue kits we do get have usually been worked over or improved.
This is much to my chagrin because I was hoping we might get these kits again or as in this groups' case a re-released Lotus 38 slot body from Monogram (I'm told the best likeness of a Mk38!) with an updated suspension ala Hasegawa.
With the "hobby" the way it is now with so much competition for the almighty buck, we won't see this tupe of thing happen. Thank the Fates that we have resources like Jorgenson et all so we can do what we enjoy.

Patrick,
The best model of the Lotus 38 I have seen in all my years was produced by Lance Sellers a few years ago....I think he used an old Monogram Lotus Slot Car as a guide to make the body. Check with Lance.
Best to you
