is 1/43rd easier to design and 3D print than 1/25th? Was your decision on 1/43rd based on available display space, or something else? I have also noted that there are several 1/43rd Indycars from different eras on EBay. Will you try some of them, or are you just focused on these? As always, you continue to blow my mind with your talent! Please keep up the good work! Tim Tim, the scale does not affect the design. You can design it at a 1:1 scale with all the detail you want, and then you can print it at any scale, always taking into account that the thickness of the printed parts is thick enough to be printed. In the case of suspensions, it also has to be able to support the weight of the whole model. Printing at 1/43rd scale is easier because the printed parts are smaller, weigh less and there are fewer printing errors, at least for me. I will go back to my usual 1/24th and 1/25th scales shortly, but I will continue to print 3D models at 1/43rd, because I find them very fun and I am learning many new things with them.

Did you paint the fade on Will Powers’ car? Yes, the fade was painted. On this project I improved so much my airbrushed skills.

Frederic

Thanks for your kind words Frederic. All models on this thread are liveries from the 2022 Indianapolis 500 miles race.
Gràcies per les teves amables paraules Frederic. Tots els models d'aquest fil son librees de la cursa d'Indianapolis 500 del 2022

I may have missed it but would be willing to share what you used to create this awesomeness? Like software, 3D printer, decal software and printer. If you used a printer service, who did you use? Also, what kind of time did it take to 3D print or cost for the service? I would understand if you didn’t want to reveal your sources from a business standpoint. Regardless, fantastic work as usual.

Mike I have already been explaining it in other threads, so it is not a secret. lol 3D design software: Freecad, it's totally free and there are a lot of tutorials on Youtube 3D printer: Creality LD-002H, the cheapest I found at Amazon when I bought; resin: water washable resin Decals software: CorelDraw, printed at a slot decal supplier in Spain, I don't know what printer he uses. Time: this is a hobby for me, I don't count the time
