Thank you Jordan and Gary I spent a good four hours drilling holes. Then I did some assembling. Engine in pieces....then assembled. Transmission pieces. Then a mock-up After spending another couple of hours drilling holes, I decided to assemble the exhaust. What a PITA. 12 pieces per side. 27

Nice... the FW07 is one of my all-time favorite F1 cars. Thanks Michael After getting the black on the side pods sorted and the main tub painted, I decided to fit the supports. Mock-up of the main chassis. And another of the drivetrain.

Thanks guys. Engine detail is coming along. I need to do some painting of small bits before I can add the velocity stacks. I did a little mock-up for inspiration. 117

This build is really looking Good. You're doing some great building here.....it's a pleasure to watch, for sure. Thanks Gary. Spent a lot of time doing little detail work in order to move forward. First up is the seat belts. Then all of the little details in the front part of the chassis. Finally the uprights and the brakes. 173

As others have said, what a beauty! All your subassemblies could be standalone models. Gorgeous work and what a great WIP thread

This is outstanding work. The detail is there in the kit but brought out so beautifully.
What is also getting me are the pics from Brands Hatch. First GP I went to on my own at 17 years of age. Ligiers ran off into the distance and then their wheels fell apart. Jonesy ran it home with Piquet second. Had a bunch of very disappointed Brazilians standing next to me. My main memory is of Villeneuve wrestling the T5 round Druids hairpin. We all stood there looking across at Paddock Hill just waiting for him to come into view and following him round that first part of the lap for much of the race.
Very much looking forward to the progress on this build. Somehow build is not a good enough word for this. Construction maybe......

Build really isn’t a good enough word. This is bringing something to life. Looks so fantastic and I can’t wait for the next update.

So when do you take time off to eat and sleep? :-) I'm retired. So this is my job now............ Thanks Art. Hopefully I can have it done by the NNL

I'm back on this after being distracted for a week by my other hobby. MFH gives you w/m spacers to place under the center of the car to hold the weight of the car from sagging the suspension. Since both front and rear are done, I temporarily fitted the front and back together. Then I put the wheels on and checked the height of the spacers. Looks like the front will need a bit of height reduction. Then I moved the chassis over to the edge of the mat and got some dimensions so that I can order my case for it. Since the model is about 14.5 x 7.5, I think I'll order one that is 16" x 9" x 6". Of course I had to put the body on for inspiration and a photo op. 499

It certainly is a pretty car, and I agree the clean white looks outstanding. With all that beautiful chassis work I think you need a double wide display case so it can be displayed body off. Lol I kid, of course, but fantastic work.
