‘68 Lotus 56 paint color

What paint brands/colors does everyone use for the Lotus 56?

I don’t mix colors or airbrush so it’s Tamiya Fluor red in a rattle can for me. Not confident that’s exactly right but that’s the direction I’ve gone.

I like the color of Tamiya but it does tend to develop a crackle pattern in the paint over time, I believe Michael (Indycals) has found a brand he prefers for the STP cars but I can not remember the name.

As you will see in my build, I plan on using Mr. Color Dayglo Red as per Michael’s recommendation.

What about the yellow on the joe Leonard car? I’m leaning toward Zero Paints Acid Green

They yellow was fluorescent yellow. Again, Mr. Color is the way to go.

I believe MCW has a match for that color.
