I agree. I love the no wing look but if you want to wing it, then by all means. It will look great either way! Look forward to continuing to follow this excellent build.

That looks REALLY good! Very impressive work.
What chassis did you use for a donor?

Paul, those headers definitely have the right "look"! I think a wing would look right, also, just not too big or too much chord, early days and all. Can you give us a source for those headers?

Brian, the headers came from Shapeways. Right style and "look", but a very rough surface finish by my standards. Also the collectors don't mate up to any size tubing so a lot of grinding to blend them in. Worked out OK. Not a lot of selection in 1/12th out there.

The chassis is mostly a Tamiya Honda, shortened and narrowed with a Matra front end grafted on and a sheet styrene floor.

All done. I added a simple wing. To satisfy those who like it better without (like me!), it's removable. By far my most ambitious project. Certainly not perfect, but I'm happy with it.
Some glamour shots:
Many thanks to those who expressed interest, and for the kind words.

Paul, this has been a cool project to follow. I am glad it turned out well for you. It has been enjoyable to follow your progress on this one. The F5000 section has been fun since we added it here and this shows why.
Great choice on keeping the rear wing removable, best of both worlds.
