It's so strange to hear him say he is humbled, but I am glad he is experiencing such an amazing outpouring of love and generosity. One would have to be soul-less to not be humbled. I am glad he is at peace and that he appreciates what an amazing life he has had. I hope he gets to attend his HOF induction.

I had no idea Robin was ill. I raced against him when he was racing midgets and he was a tough competitor and a really nice guy. I always enjoyed his commentary and insights into racing, which were (and still are) fair and balanced, and also illuminating. I sincerely hope he can make it. He's a unique individual- Just one of the guys, yet intelligent, insightful, a good writer and columnist, but not arrogant, aloof, or snobbish in any way.

Robin kept my flagging interest in racing going longer than the racing itself could! Seemed like an old-school purist that told it as he saw it , a rarity anymore.

Love him or hate him nobody has covered the sport with more passion or insight than Robin. And with all due respect to Marshall Pruett I doubt we ever see that type of reporting again. We've been very fortunate to have had Robin during what I feel have been the best years the sport has seen. Brutally honest, just like his pal AJ, that's why he meant so much to so many.

I was working the January 2020 Memorabilia Show with my friend Steve Turner when he saw Robin walking past. Steve took a picture of us in front of the booth. Then Steve said "You look like twins"! LOL I was very sad to read Robin's note but truly believe everything he did/said was to benefit Indycar racing. Hoping for a miracle for his sake but he seems at peace with whatever happens. Thanks for everything Robin! Praying for the best.

Another hoping the best for him. Glad to see he is at peace and he is mature enough to see it that way. Robin has been a staple for fans for years, and no matter if you agreed or disagreed (sometimes reluctantly) i always knew he had a handle on the current situation. Straight shooter. Fairly Ornery and a real fan. Thanks for posting Stu.
