The bare resin kit looked really sharp but this is looking better and better. Nice job so far, thank you for sharing the pictures of the building in progress. They are inspirational!

Some wheel action I drilled the wheel center with smaller hole out so I could use the same 3/32 pin to align the PE wire wheel discs for both fronts and rears. I’ll sleeve the front centers with section of 3/32 tubing to accept the smaller front axle. I do like Lances front end assembly- very sturdy and also realistic. Lances jig works perfectly to keep everything aligned. I used my high-tech clamping system to keep things together while glue dried.

How I ensured front suspension arms are in the same plane.

Tire markings, some touch up and clear coat to go then done. A lovely model of a very cool car. Thanks again Lance. Some notes: Windshield clips are a tad too big, also windshield is not tipped back quite enough. That’s all on me. I felt the windshield was a bit too high, trimmed it down some. Color decals are very thin, easy to fold up. Color ink is fragile. I trimmed too close to the right side tail number, some ink was knocked loose. Very easy to have all four wheels on the ground at once. Mechanically a fun build with no need for more than two hands!

Dan: Wow! Just wow! Nice paint, clean, and well done…the fastest car in 1946, but also the beginning of the Novi Curse (gremlins!)… Great job, sir! Tim

Thank you all for your very nice comments. While it’s true that we build primarily for ourselves (at least I do), it’s very gratifying to receive such positive feedback from peers in this community. Thanks again, Dan
