Such excellent work, really love the quality of the detail you have modelled so far. Are the tank straps resin print or modelled with something else? Wire wheels are always a clear indicator of a kit's quality and yours look really excellent. Are the tyre logos white decals or painted on? Did you print them as standard resin or use a flexible resin like Resione F80? I have the latter for tyres. Only done some test prints since I got the printer but it seems a great option for rubber feel and look tyres.
Any idea yet how long before you would be ready to sell .stl files? I'm very very interested. I'm building every drivers championship winning F1 car since 1950 in 1:20 (I know yours is 1:18 but digital files scale so easy on the 3D printer) so I need two Ferrari 500 ('52 & '53) for my build list.
I have the 1:20 Revival kit and it's passable, but not great (especially for the price they go for now) and I think it will need a lot of work and me to design lots of 3D printed extra detail etc. As I need to two of the Ferrari 500 I'll have to either 3D design my own version for my resin printer or buy another revival kit.
So finding your excellent and well detailed one is perfect - I can print two off and drop the revival kit from my plans.
The whole car is printed using Siraya Tech Build, I am toying with the idea of making a 3d printed mould and using silicone for the tires but, that would ruin my solution for the tire markings/logos, they are actually debossed, and filled by rubbing crayons to fill them!
I am making a final pass and printing every part to make sure that I am happy with how it prints.
I hope to be done in a month. I am not sure if I want to sell the .stl files, I hate piracy. My idea at this point is to sell the printed kits. but I might make some exceptions, I don't know yet.
When I'm finished, this will be the first place where I will offer the kit for sale, so you will be the first to know.
Thank you again!

Those Pirelli ones look really excellent. Rubbing crayons on the tyres is a good idea.... you could also use the panel-line capillary method of painting:
1. thin acrylic paint* with alcohol based thinners (Tamiya X20A or just IPA) 2. dip some plain alcohol thinners into the recessed area 3. touch the tip of a thin brush loaded with the thinned paint into the same recess as the alcohol evaporates - it pulls the paint into the recessed area and gives a nice clean fill. 4. repeat a few times. It takes several goes to build up a decent layer thickness given the paint is thinned down.
Also it would probably work on rubber resin compound (but probably not silicone rubber as that's notoriously hard to paint).
* But not Vallejo as they react very badly to alcohol thinners.
I am looking for a volunteer to build my kit. I will ship it to you totally free with the condition that you do a picture-rich document of the building process with comments, suggestions, and comparisons to other kits/models. I am looking for somebody experienced, that can take high-quality pictures and videos of the process and that has built and owns the Exoto, CMC, or MFH 1/18 kits of the 1952/53 Ferrari 500 f2. The feedback will be the basis for any necessary changes to the kit before I offer it for sale. This review will serve as an advertising and build guide for prospective buyers of the kit. Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you!

I wish I had those kits to offer to compare it to.
I build in 1:20 and have the Revival kit (not hugely impressed with it) and I need to build two Ferrari 500 f2 in 1:20 (Ascari's 1952 & 1953 cars). I could do a parallel build of yours and Revivals if that was useful. As for photographic skill.... I have a PhD in 3D digitisation including photogrammetry and I'm a published photographer so not too bad with a camera. ;-)
@ flyingbadger: I already sent out the first kit to somebody else that PM me right away. I might do a second "free with review" kit if there are things to modify. I will let you know. Thank you so much for the offer!
