Hi, yep still here , just haven’t posted anything for awhile. Mostly ‘cause I still can’t figure out the photo posting thing on this Board. Tried today, no luck understanding it. That’s the way it is, I’m not worth a poop in hell when it comes to doing anything on a computer. I am able to post model photos on Facebook right from my phone. FB makes it easy.
So, I do keep up with you guys and your great builds and keep posting!

I have wanted to write this too since I am in the same place as Sandy. I really would like to post some of work which pales in comparison to what is here but I, too, have been unable to figure out how to do it. I am almost 80 and take my photos with an IPad which my kids gave me and then forcefed me how to at least FaceTime on it. It would be a real help to some of us if someone could do a step-by-step how to post photos for us who are technologically and digitally challenged. Right now I take photos and email them to members who have helped me with a model. Pitiful I know but I grew up well before computers and really never caught on to them. I appreciate Art's comments so I am not hopeful. Stu tried to help me several years ago but it has been lost on me. Thanks for listening.

Okay guys, I will try to help. I use a photo storage site called Imgur. Once you set up your profile and upload your photos you should be all set. Make sure you have Open Wheel open in one tab and Imgur in another. 1st. On this site. Click on the picture frame in the upper right hand corner on this page. Highlighted in yellow. see below  Once you click the picture frame it will bring up this box.  Deleted the http: hightlight in blue. Now, go to your Imgur tab and click on the photo you want to post. When you click on your Imgur photo. Click "Direct Link". Go back to Open wheel, put your curser in the box where you deleted the blue http: - right click your mouse and hit paste.  Boom! Your photo will be posted. |

Sorry for being dense, but I am not seeing what you displayed as "1st. On this site. Click on the picture frame...." I am not finding that whole row in the upper right hand corner of this page. I really appreciate your trying to help.
I am looking at a page labeled Open Wheel Racing Modeling on the top line, a second line with Home Help Search Calendar

The mobile site is the version of this page optimized for a cellphone and is what shows up when you access it by smartphone. If you’re using the mobile version of the page, you won’t have some of these options.
Just an FYI, we’re also working on a video tutorial to assist everyone in uploading photos to the page.

I am using an old Dell desktop and even though I mentioned an IPad, I never use it to access this site. I send my emails to this computer and try to upload them from here. On the other hand, I take photos of my models on the IPad so are you telling me I should be trying to send them from it to Imgur. I said I was dense, plus ignorant plus using old equipment so I am so glad all of you are trying to help. Thanks so much.

Make sure you open a “Reply” and not “Post Quick Reply”. Then you will see the Icons.

Yes. I guess I forgot to mention "Reply" but that's only to reply and post a photo to an already existing thread. If you want to start your own thread, click on "Create Thread" in the upper right hand corner and you will see the frame. You need to be logged on as a member too and not as a guest.

I am just having so much fun. It turns out I am unable to upload to Imgur directly from my IPad. In addition, I am unable to get my email account added to my Smartphone since it keeps rejected my password. My next try will be to send my IPad photos to my desktop and see if I can upload from it. If not, I may just ask for email addresses of anyone who is interested and send photos that way. Thanks.

Imgur has an app. I upload photos from my iPhone to Imgur via their app. Should not be much different from an iPad.
