Another Lola done. This is Al Unser's car in the 1968 race. started 6th, crashed on lap 40. Painted with acrylic colors and some clear coating issues. Homemade decals except Indycals tire decals. Final pics over Clidinst drawing and Lola's family 68-69.

Juanjo, nice work again. I love the family picture at the end showing all the variety of configurations in which this car ran. Great to see you building more of these.

Another superb replica of a racer from what was for me the most interesting in the history of Indy cars. So many unique designs from 1963-78. It is interesting to see the differences of the 1969 entries of Bobby Unser and Mark Donohue. Both 4WD cars that were developed in unison for a period of time with designer Eric Broadley, or at least I think so! Thanks for sharing this model with us!

Juanjo: Once again, I’m blown away! The Lola family shot is fantastic! I wonder how you get the windscreens to look perfect? Man! I would appreciate a tutorial on your method. Mine seem to end up nasty looking and frustrating. My 1973 Pole Car is stalled because of this issue...Is there a secret way you have mastered? Thanks again for the stunning builds! Tim

I wonder how you get the windscreens to look perfect? Man! I would appreciate a tutorial on your method. Not perfect method, but here you are: First cut with scissors and fit the windshield to the edge of the canopy; this is the most difficult step. Then put the windshield in place aided by tamiya tape and glue the free edges with PVA glue with a toothpick. Once dry, carefully remove the tape and glue the rest of the edges. Please note that not all PVA glues are clear when dry.

Juanjo:
Thanks a million! I believe my problem is a lack of patience...you are correct; the screen must be cut exactly... Tim

Amazing work! Just think how many of these you could sell as kits if you went into production! I treasure your 1966 winner kit, it was VERY well done!

Great job, Juanjo. It is interesting to see there are differences in the 3d model and the way you painted the two. Both are fantastic and I do enjoy the same subject in multiple scales!!

Would you please re-post the Lola drawing w/out the body ??
