It has been more than a few years since I built one of these. Several years back I started the 58 front row that I recently started working on again. To make a long story short, my problem cane when mounting the tailpipe. The kit does not have a spot marked for where to drill the hole for the exhaust support, I screwed up thinking a panel fastening mark in that general area was a locating mark ( it is not! ). Upon struggling to get the exhaust to fit I discovered my mistake, after several failed attempts to fill paint and blend these spots all 3 bodies were stripped of their white metal parts and disposed of. If I ever re-mold the bodies I will be making a locator mark on the master to show where to drill and mount the exhaust support. Do not screw the pooch like I did, study the instructions an mark this spot before you even lay the 1st primer coat. Chris did mention where to drill this hole in the instructions but of course I just looked at the photos ( a little ) and assumed that since I had built several of these in the past, what could go wrong?

Thanks for the tip! I have several more to do (including your excellent 1958 conversions) and I might try to come up with a template to speed up the duplication process. Glad you pointed this out.

It kinda ruined my day, I now have the spot marked on the master for those of us who don't read the instructions but might look at the pictures.
