As for the panel lines, I used Tamiya panel line color in a couple of thin coats. Doing this helped me avoid most runs, I also used a scriber to deepen some of the more shallow panel lines, that way the color had some good channels to run through.

The Novi is a beauty. well done and a worthy subject. Always appreciate the history lessons and stats. Still undecided on what to build from my kit, I was leaning toward the 1956 Russo car in red. Wrecked out after a blowout.
Often wonder why the Novi never managed to win a 500. Lots of power and always fast. My uneducated guess would be the fully machined block and heads. Seems to me a poor way to circulate oil and water. Aluminum engines are great but they depend heavily on cooling and go south rapidly when over heated.
