Fellows, Picked up some very nice 1/24 slot car bodies I wanted for years that were on slot chassis, therefore were painted. Some had enamel and (I guess) lacquer. I found that Isopropyl Alcohol 70 % works pretty good depending on paint. The paint that resisted that, I use "Easy Off" oven cleaner but watch your time AND WEAR GLOVES and Don't Breathe! Also tried Nail Polish Remover and Lighter Fluid neither of which worked. Picked up some Lacquer Thinner yesterday which started to MELT the Butyrate! Anyone know what will remove lacquer without damaging the bodies?
