Hey all, I'm doing up a set of belts in 1/12 scale using Tamiya's self-adhesive belt material. Any ideas on what to use to insure they don't detach from the back of the vinyl seat material? I'm thinking maybe Gorilla glue or tape, or something like silicone caulk. Any and all ideas/suggestions are appreciated.

Brian Not sure if it will work with Tamiya's material, but I usually wipe the adhesive off the back side with lacquer thinner and glue everything with C.A. Craig |

Check this out. It works great, and is not permanent, can be moved around. Works great for mounting windscreens. I found it as airplane modelers use it to mount canopys. Comes in many widths, I bought a 1/16th roll, will probably last me forever. Fast tape |

Thanks for the ideas, guys! Craig, does CA bond well to the vinyl? I think I'm going to have to experiment a little!

Canopy cement! Clean up any "ooze" with a damp cloth. The stuff is incredible! There's talk that it might even cure the common cold.

Thanks again for the help! Craig, I have a whole roll of cloth tape, but I try to use the kit supplied materials when I can, and when they perform decently. I touch up the white edges of the Tamiya belt material with a matching marker.

Used the CA on the belts yesterday, seemed to work perfectly! I'll give them a tug this weekend to make sure they're secure and then the seat will be ready to install. Now to finish the tub! Thanks again for the help!
