Welcome, Sandy, to the world of retirement. A word of advice. If you think you will have lots of time for everything and that the world will go by at a slower pace--don't. But you will still enjoy it. Best wishes for many healthy, happy years. Now, how about a nice entertaining WIP.

Great news, Sandy, now you have time to attend that "POWER TOOL SAFETY" course that you have been putting off for so long. You will find that all that spare time you thought you would have, will somehow vanish.

Great news, Sandy, now you have time to attend that "POWER TOOL SAFETY" course that you have been putting off for so long. You will find that all that spare time you thought you would have, will somehow vanish. OSHA has served me with a Cease and Decist order forbidding me from using any and all power tools.

Having a boatload of 'to do' things taking up the retirement time has been mentioned a frightenly large number of times! Kip, A WIP?!? Talk about about putting pressure on someone right off the bat! Two, oh, one and a half thumbs up for retirement. Congratulations Sandy. You earned it, now make the best of it. And, yes, as Kip noted, everyday ends without checking off each "to do" item on your list and while you may not get as much modeling done as you expect, with some discipline you will get more time at the bench. When you have achieved that level of discipline, please tell me how you did it.

Congrats Sandy!
Enjoy your new-found freedom.
I have 3 years, 11 months, 29 days. But who's counting?
As I have been single for many years, I may enjoy some different things from those so encumbered - like spending the month of May in Indiana; going to the Rolex 24 (finally); yearly trips to Indiana Sprint Week; any maybe even Le Mans and Spa.
I hope your retirement is filled with the fulfillment of your bucket list. :-)

Hey guys, THANKS very much again for the well wishes. I celebrated by painting a few parts, it felt good to get back to the workbench, did a little (very little) yard work, played with the dogs, a grocery store run, and then my wife and I meet some friends for dinner at a great local German restaurant, The Bier Garden, "over 300 different beers on hand..." the beer menu is more pages than the food menu. Knochwurst, bratwurst, spetzel, fried green peppers and onions... and a beer or two.
It was great to hear from so many of you folks yesterday!

Sandy: Just seems like yesterday you were telling me "I've got a few years to go until retirement"...enjoy it, my friend...since retiring, I have learned to cook, taken up walking 3 miles every day, learned how to fix dang near anything around the house, and built more models than at any other time in my life...So welcome to the Retired Old Fart's Club! There are NO emails, stress, or meetings... Tim
