Last Sunday I went to a private screening of a documentary called Godspeed PJ godspeedpj.com, a film that chronicles the story of Page Jones, Parnelli’s son, who was injured in a sprint car accident in 1994 with a Traumatic Brain Injury. The film was incredibly moving, and inspirational. They are still working out how and where the film will be distributed, but I highly recommend you see it. I’ve known Page since we started karting in 1984, so I have been familiar with his story, but there’s so much more I didn’t know. I also have a tremendously increased respect for the entire Jones family and their incredible circle of friends, both in and out of the racing community. Here’s me and my wife, Lisa, with Parnelli. I was showing him some pics from the first kart race the Jones boys ran that I was in at Ascot in 1984 on the ¼ mile. Parnelli is telling me that Page got hurt that night, which I hadn’t recalled. Here are the pics I was showing Parnelli. Here’s Page watching me weigh my kart. This one is PJ pushing Page’s kart to staging. Here we are lined up. I’m on the pole, PJ is next to me and Page is inside second row.

Very neat - O
I ran "48" on my karts as well. My last dirt kart was a Coyote Bullet with a Yamaha. Bought the entire set up brand new in 1989. I had always run on pavement prior. I enjoyed the oval racing a lot.
