Well.....I expect this year to be very interesting. I take delivery of a 5 axis cnc machine this summer and a 3 axis milling machine. Thiis is all in preparation for my magor project that will involve several 5th or quarter scale Indy cars to be produced by myself. The production phase of this will take a good year to learn and to make all of the molds that are required for such a massive project. Iwill post pics of the 4 or 5 cars that I intend to make in a little while.

What kind of CNC Machines are you getting? Are you milling masters out of aluminum? I'll be doing all types. The masters will need to be durable as I intend to mass produce the parts so that others can enjoy these kits as well. The CNC will be a 5 axis for sure.....I haven't decided on the model type yet but it will have the auto quick change heads.

This is going to be one huge investment.
How to you plan to produce these kits? Are you going to make masters out of aluminum and making some kind of mold off your aluminum billet masters and cast them out of resin later?
Have you ever used Master cam before?

I'll do that foe the chassis and body parts but for everything else it will be made from a cad / /cam model that can be stored and replicated at will. I'm still looking into molding techniques to see what will fit best for me and what I need to QUICKLY set one up.

I haven't decided yet John. I have some folks in Indianapolis that are going to help with that process.
