I started this project less that a month ago. I was holding off on posting photos because I had a minor stroke about 7 weeks ago and I was not sure how they were going to turn out. While I lost some of the fine motor skills in my right hand it looks like I was still able to build. The rear bumpers kicked my tail!! I will start with the decals tomorrow. I will post more pictures ones the decals are one. One is going to be as the car first made it's appearance during the month for practice and the other one by itself is an alternate version they decided not to go with. Eric

Eric, so sorry to hear about your stroke but glad to see you survived and are still getting along reasonably well. The DW12s look sharp - very impressive work as always. All my best for a fully recovery!

I'm so sorry to hear that you had a small stroke. I hope everything is going OK for you now, that's really scary. The cars look nice that is a very complicated scheme. Take care, Calvin

Eric, I had one of those about 8 years ago. It will get better. Building Indy Cars is great therapy! TerryB

Wow! Thats awesome! When did one without red on the side pods run? I know the black one was the first weekend version.

Thanks Calvin,
The one with the white side pods was an alternate version that was purposed but never used. One of the Parnters wanted that one done vs a race day version. Bob Lazier wanted the one as the car first hit the track which is the black one.

Those look great! Really amazing what you're doing. Is that bare metal foil on the rear suspension or paint?

That is awesome, great work. That photo gives me the shivers looking at it when I used to do 8-10 cars. Never again will I do multiples, too stressful for this old man. Pretty work.

Ralph, you are right about the stressful part. I thought the Herbalife project I did was the toughest one I ever did until I started this one. They were a piece of cake, this car has so much going on and different colors it has been a nighmare.
As for the rear suspension, yes it is foil. It is much easier than you would think to do also. I just cut a long strip and then cut it into small pieces and then wraped it around the suspension arms. I also paint the rear axle copper, by doing these 2 small things it really gives the rear suspension some depth and detail.

I also do the heat protector with GMF & the axle treatment, looks nice. I've done as many as 10 but doing 6 of these 2008 Scheckters were a nightmare. Toughest masking I've ever done & hated every one.
