Looking good Calvin. Count me in on two noses and windscreens and Michael, one set of tires.
In the Lotus 49 thread Michael said:
Yep. I always recommend painting the yellow stripe - it will simply look better. My least favorite decals that I make are the my Lotus 29 Clark decals because I have to include the yellow stripe because the numbers are part of it, but it really needs to be painted. Unfortunately my yellow decals don't match any paint, so I can't just supply the numbers, or else they won't match. So the question is, what is a good mix of yellow to match the Indycals yellow? Obviously, this yellow will have to be air brushed
Also Michael, since most of us do want to paint the yellow stripe, would it be possible for you to copy the Lotus logo and the “Lotus Powered By Ford” script that is overlaid onto the yellow stripe and include it separately on the sheet?

Paul Erlendson I've been doing that for awhile. But... don't order my decals yet... a change is a commin' (in fact you can't order them - I've removed the Clark option for the time being). Also Calvin and I are working out details so that you can get everything in one place.

Boy! do I have some stories share with you all! The drama continues! The other day I made the first half of the rubber mold. I used little bit left in of one jar and a little bit of a new jar of rubber well like a dumb-dumb I did the wrong ratio of hardener on the first half and got a big surprise the next morning! Then I had to do it all over again! after my 2nd mold was all ready to go today I tried it out! It looked like success! But then......whats this? The nose doesn't match up with the tub! What the heck! Why did I miss that to begin with? So as of now back to the drawing board

Man, the casting looks very good and then it won't fit. It must drive you mad after the first casting problems.

Just FYI, between my offerings and Calvin's, the 29 is getting a COMPLETE makeover. Calvin is doing the nose and windscreen, and of course I have those new tires I'm doing (should be available soon) as well as new SILK-SCREENED decals for Clarks Lotus that match Tamiya TS16 paint - so you can use the new decals or paint the stripe and the remaining decals will match! The decals will also have a #6 for the 1964 34.

I'm honestly not sure the demand will be there to justify the time and expense - I'm guessing I'd probably have to sell a set of Dums for $25-30 to cover the costs of development and getting masters made.

No problem Michael! Count me in for a set. Look at how much Icon Modeler has to charge for his tires. Paul Erlendson

In any case they're not going to happen in the next two months - way too much on my plate right now.

I built this kit straight from the box several years ago.. but WOW what a difference in your new nose you made. I'll post mine in a seperate thread, but now I wanna rethink and maybe build it again!

Oh the joys of updating a kit that was done all-wrong from the get go. I discovered this photo on Dan Gurney's page: Note the marking on the side of the car below the LpbF type. I had never seen that before. Walt was able to identify that as "Pure Firebird Gasoline". But here's the kicker... it was also on Clark's car on race day! Here is his car being gridded on race day: Clearly the marking is on the left side of the car. But when he makes his one and only pitstop: It's gone! Yet late in the race it is still clearly there on the right side The only thing we can surmise is that the left side marking peeled off early in the race So anyway, the revised sheet for both Clark and Gurney will have this new marking on it now if anyone can identify the white circular logo in this pic that will be a huge help
