I think that in a parallel universe, these would have been built, raced and won. Then some even more radical designs would be made so that by 2012 Indy would be the biggest racing on the planet with 33 different chassis powered by 33 different engines. Ah well.

Alex Tremulis was a well known industrial designer and futurist. I always like looking at how the future was to have looked. Another well known designer named Ira Gilford did concepts for Watson as did Larry Shinoda.

Great drawings - looks like something out of Speed Racer. That's a compliment, not an insult.
Related question, is the Superwedge just something Lance is building for himself or making for a casting one day?

I had wanted to produce it, about a year ago the master was severly damaged and I will have to start it over.

Understood, Lance - I appreciate the update even if it is bad news. That's a cool car, if you ever pick it up again then let us know so we start saving our pennies.

it's a shame only one of them made it to fruition.
as we know we just don't see that kind of thinking at the track any more.

Picture this at 70 pounds, it's always exciting in the Sellers household these days! But this one wasn't Bode's fault, it was mine. I did get out the pieces today and am planning attempt no. 2 of the super wedge.  |
