Here is a current shot of the build - it may look messy as of now but just wait...... Have any of you have noticed over the years, that my building style usually is on the messy side during the first half of the build?

It is enjoyable to watch the builds come together. I'm sure a lot of have messy WIPs so who are we to cast stones? :-)

I thought I would give an updated on this. I got the color on but I cant polish it out like usually do because for some reason the Krylon paint will not handle any of my polishes? It just about rips the purple right off! and where I tested it on the side pod changed the shade of purple as well! So I guess its going to be a dull paint job? I guess the decals are next, hopefully that will hide everything.

Nice job Calvin ;D I like the no backing plates on the wheels and all your scratchbuilding to backdate the car.

looks good dude, the color on the real car from photos in the museum show a very flat looking paint job, decals really made this car pop. nice job

Calvin this is really great to see. Awesome job on the scratch work with this, looks great. I have an old kit of Bill's of this car and makes me want to get a start on it. Good job man.

Is this a good color match for the yellow Pactra Racing Finish Fluorescent Yellow?

Is this a good color match for the yellow Pactra Racing Finish Fluorescent Yellow? That's what I used. It just has to be clear coated....it goes on very smooth!

Really great job!I remember seeing the car in person at Indy museum in Feb of 1997 and seeing Scott Brayton's name on the car somewhere, in memory of him losing his life in practice. Again great build...looks spot on

Thanks! Also, thanks for the good picture I didn't realize the side wings had that 'bend' to them!
