Michael,
I was wondering...where do you keep all the finished cars?

Fuel lines in place: This is what I use for the fuel lines - available at craft stores like Michaels or JoAnnes:

This is where I keep my cars. I got this about 10 years ago from a jewelry store that went out of business. As you can see, I'm pretty much out of space. I need to get some display cases for the 1/12 cars and get them out of there, and a couple are scheduled to go into the IMS museum and I'm going to see about getting some others in another museum.

Well, I've been following these builds but haven't commented yet. Very nice work on both! I'm not a huge Ferrari fan, but I may sell my 1/12 versions of these two and go 1/20! They seem to have nearly the same level of detail, esp. with what you've added. Also, your display is VERY impressive! I hope to have that many cars done someday!

Wow! Nice display..... lots of hrs of work in that case. If that was your case I think that'd be about a months worth of output - I can't believe how you crank them out!

As usual, a top notch job. And that display is really nice.
Now about that display case......Check a used restaurant supply broker. Chinese restaurants always use cases for a front desk. I know, I grew up in one.

Bob Clidinst still talks about the day I went to Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Carboration day and fell asleep in the turn one crash truck with the cars running at 210mph just 25 feet away from us. I took the red eye and I fall asleep listening to the CD I sent you of the 1963 Indy 500....all those wonderful Offy's howling!
Best to you and glad you got the box....finally!

Hi Michael, Did you use Tamiya Titanium Gold on the crankcase? Mongo No, I was out of bottle paint to do that color (I was going to mix Testors Metalizers), so I decanted some Tamiya Gold and Tamiya Silver spray paint, mixed them and airbrushed it.

I love all of the detail work! It's easy to skim over the pics quickly but as one stops and studies the parts, they see all the work you put into them!

ah, Michael thanks for the display case shot...wonderful! Ansd as to your builds...with the detail you've shown here I will set in motion the rebuilding of my 1/24 312T and kit bashed 312T2! You've shown me what to concentrate on. Grazie...mille grazie!
Patrick
PS-I also want to upsize the 1/28 312T3 kit...not too much work just a little cut here and a little cut there and some Evergreen strips! Oh, and perhaps 2 years later!

Looking better all the time Mike! Are you going to have enough room in you show case? I'm still waiting for my 312T.

Nice work Michael, the 312T looks stunning. On a side note looking at your collection and the 1/20th Tamiya Indy Cars i notice all your builds are only speedway versions, is there a reason to that?
